The word ‘ao’ has several meanings: cloud, beloved, leader. In this case, it’s refering to God.
Ifo means ‘to bow’ but in this context, we’re not asking God to bow down to us – which has a subservient connotation.. we’re asking Him to lower His head towards us – ifo maia – so we can crown Him.
