This upbeat song of praise encourages Samoa to love, worship and have faith in our wise and Holy God, who saves souls.
Tala mai e le lagi
o le mamalu o le silisili ese

e fa’aalia galuega tetele
Le la ma le masina
e fesuisuia’e i le ao ma le po
O lona finagalo

Sau la’ia ta o

Good Job. Thanks 🙂
This is an excellent translation. My hats off to you.
Great job….I am actually choreographing to this song for next years Aloha Festival.
The one ur missing i had a hard time with it too but to go with the context of the song I think it itsomeging like…..
“LE FAIVA FAALEATUA”
Is it possible for you to do an English translation to this song? 🙂 Thanks
Same her….choreographing for a cousins wedding!!!
I think Sama is right-“LE FAIVA FA’ALEATUA” goes into the gap!!
Thanks for writing this my mum really wanted the words to it!!
Hey guys.. I’ll put this on the list for songs to translate (as you can imagine, we’ve got lots in the list so far).
But for those of you who are choreographing, let me give you a quick idea of what this song is about.
“Tala mai le lagi” means the word (message) from Heaven. This song is all praise and worship. It talks about the wonder that is God, manifest in all His creations – the sun, the moon, etc. Then it encourages people to not sit on the fence, because God is holy and omniscient.
The song continues on like that 🙂
Once we have a minute to translate it fully, I’ll post up a link.
Thanks
Fix the lyrics..spell your words like a real Samoan would..thank u
Thanks for the lyrics I need to learn this song for my samoan siva magaia
What’s wrong with the spelling?
A: Define a real Samoan and their spelling!. Some can’t spell. Some, even in the language of their chiefs’ language continue in what’s termed ‘tautala leaga’.
E: If you’re referring to the glottal stops, what’s the harm in putting them in for Samoans who are learning the language?
I: If you google the name of this song, for lyrics; you’ll find this is the only site! So, thank you for adding it:)
@hamogeekgirl that was on point. I’m a big fan of the Samoan Gospels.
I think trina is refering to *faavavau..it’s not faavavao!
I love this song
Thank you so much for your comments and corrections.

Talofa lava, thank you for posting up the lyrics to this beautiful song! You’ve done really well and I can understand it. The only word that I can see that needs a tweek in spelling is “naunau” where you’ve got nanau so it’s only a little tweek of adding a letter into it but other than that really appreciate the effort of having the words on here and posted up for all to see:) I like the english translation that you’ve posted up saying it’s a Praise and Worship song to a message from our wonderful God in Heaven to us! thanks again for stating on here what it means in English I would love to know and have this in English lyrics as well but other than that you’ve done great keep on keeping on posting up our amazing Samoan songs/pese. Faafetai lava:)
Can someone translate this song to English for me..I love this song and wish I knew what she was talking about!! Thank you in advance!!
